Symbolism of the logo

The original Disability Guerrillas logo was inspired by a playful “watch me do things you didn’t think I could do” attitude.  The logo was heavily influenced by the mAss Kickers Foundation’s oncology awareness campaign, TUMORS SUCK

Red was selected as the primary color of the logo because in the disability pride flag, the color red represents physical disabilities.

Guerrilla warfare is a type of unconventional warfare where small, independent groups use irregular tactics to fight against larger military forces. The Disability Guerrillas take pride in doing unconventional things to attack the issues associated with inactivity in people with physical disabilities.

The Guerrilla in the racing sports wheelchair is the first of many sports inspired logos. Stay tuned.
